Social Media Articles
Digg is another potent tool, if you know how to use it! Digg is a way to promote blog posts, videos, images by submitting them to the Digg Site, thereby increasing the traffic to the promoted article or other media. Coming from obscurity to the limelight is not easy, it doesn’t happen overnight. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day. It takes some time to get your article to the front page of Digg, but perhaps I can offer some suggestions.
The best way to grow in Digg popularity is to Digg other’s work. If you Digg an article, your profile shows up as being one that “dugg” the article. This lets people know who you are, what your interests are, and people will start adding you to their friends list. This is a reciprocal support system that helps you, ultimately, direct traffic to your ad. Neal Rodriguez of johnchow.com, wrote a story on Digg’ing, where he posits the rule of thumb that you should at least get as many followers as you have Dugg. So, if you, Dugg twenty people’s articles, a majority of those should reciprocate, and then the rest will be unique Digg promotions, so that you will have between 20 and 40 Diggs on your online media.
When a piece online receives a “critical mass” of Diggs, then it will be put into the homepage of it’s category. If it is among the most popular, it will be called a “Top 10″. Ultimately, this can lead to your ad receiving a flood of traffic. And with traffic, comes revenue. With Revenue, comes payouts. So… what are you waiting for? Go Get ‘Em!
This past September, the BBC Reported that more money was spent on online advertising than on television advertising in the UK.
A number of factors contributed to that fact.
First, there is a direct response factor. Take this example, if you’re watching TV and you see a TV ad about an acai berry product, which will make you slimmer and give you more energy, now you have to go find the product in stores. However, you can act now with a direct response to an advertisement online. All you have to do is get out your wallet and charge your credit card.
If you have a good video camera, or some skills with Flash, making an ad that is interactive and lively is a great tool to help you out. The internet is far more engaging when there is animation used or if there is video involved, catching the attention of a buyer, which will make a conversion more likely.
Ecommerce sites are giving people the bargains they need in the tough economy. Bargain hunting is often regarded as a great tool to live a thriftier lifestyle. Walmart knows this, so do the countless ecommerce sites out there that advertise lower prices for a product.
Finally, broadband is cheaper and faster, which makes richer content available. Does anyone out there remember dial up modems? The obnoxious noise that it makes, the content that downloaded so slowly, and you still got very simple content. Now, you don’t need a dedicated phone line, all you need is a connection from one box to another and surfing the internet is faster and easier than ever!
That means that it’s not the guys that have millions of dollars to spend on TV ads that have the upper hand. Anyone with a good connection, a website, and the resources and tools (such as the ones Health Converter provides you with!) can make a successful internet marketing campaign. Now… Go Get Em.
I remember one late night comedian said a few days before the 2008 US Presidential Elections, with mocking reasons of why voter turnout was always so low: “What? You mean I have to get up and go to a polling place? You mean I can’t TEXT in my vote?”
It’s been about 50-odd years since the first computers, from humble origins now we have some mindboggling technology that has not been utilized nearly enough or as efficiently as they should be by the Fortune 500, etc. A guy by the name of Jonathan Volk, who does quite well in the affiliate marketing world, might I add, has written an article about good and bad ways that companies use social media.
You can certainly use sites like Twitter and Facebook to lead traffic to this or that affiliate link. I would recommend, however, that you keep an personal account separate! However, it’s also great for keeping informed about what your peers and contacts are doing as well. Make sure that you keep a great relationship with your contacts, ask if you can do anything for them.
Beyond the Facebook “Like” feature, you can also give a behind-the-scenes look at yours or another organization, announce new releases or planned leaks, announcements, and other PR promotions. Twitter allows you to respond directly to your customers while still keeping clients and contacts informed. Youtube is useful for running promotions, posting video ads, and so forth.
The only limits of Social Media is your own imagination. The big names in social media are free, and they allow you to add immense value to your business. Now Go Get Em!
